Living in a Tent

Experiential learning

We are enjoying the Usborne books that we are reading this year for our history section of our curriculum (SonLight Core B History).

Some of the pages in these books include little activities the kids can do to experience more about what we are learning about. When we learned about clothing used in different places of the world, the kidDOS were encouraged to dress as different people in the world dress. When we learned about makeup and jewelry, the kidDOS did some face painting. Like that we did several other fun activities.

Today we read about homes and how some people live in tents. The activity was to create a tent. Our tent became our school for the day. It was a delightful experience for the kidDOS.
