Volcanoes in Venus

As we travel in our study of the universe, we arrived to Venus.

Do you know that there are volcanoes everywhere in Venus? It is the hottest planet in the solar system. Even hotter than Mercury (the planet closest to the Sun). That is due to Venus atmosphere. The heat gets trapped and it cannot escape. We learned about volcanoes in this lesson.
We experimented with erupting volcanoes made with vinegar and baking soda. They were a hit. The kidDOS wanted to keep on seeing the reaction that happens over and over.
Then we made another volcano that shows well how molten lava moves through the sides of the volcano. This one was made with melted butter and flour.
The joy of discovering and learning.
I would love to hear ideas of simple science projects.
Smiles,
