Percussions, Strings, Brass...
Learning and discovering new things is invigorating. The kidDOS and I spent some time learning about the Orchestra. Here are three great resources to teach about it: The St. Louis Stand Up Symphony. A free printable with all the instruments, and seating arrangement. The kidDOS had fun coloring and learning about each of the families of instruments.
The second resource is a great video to introduce some of the instruments of the orchestra is: Serge Prokofiev: Peter and the Wolf by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra.
Lastly, many lesson plans from DSO Kids Database.
Do you have any good resources for teaching about the Orchestra you would like to share?
Smiles,
