How much time do you spend in a day in prayer?
This was the challenge question we got several years ago. The Spirit of God brought us to reflect about how every single person on the planet is granted the same amount of time every day. Presidents are given 24 hrs. Doctors, pastors, teachers, moms, dads, children, CEO's, each one of us are given the same amount of time in a day. What we do with each of these 24 hours is our decision. And the priorities of our life can be easily reflected in how we utilize these 24 hours.
Here is the key question that helped us evaluate our priorities: Is prayer in the 24 hours schedule for today? ... if not, everything else that took place that day had a higher priority. For example, was I able to spend time in Facebook or watching news that day. Then, those things were more important than time with God.
What we do with our time is totally up to us. It is up to us to spend time with our creator. It has been a while since God challenged us to make a commitment to start every day with prayer. It has been the best time spent in our years since then. We have gained much by utilizing our time in this way. (Take a look at this post: Morning time)
How do you manage your time?
