Savings for Summer Vacation

A good start of the school year

...teaching the kidDOS to save some of the money they receive.


We attended a parenting class at church that used the book "Smart Money, Smart Kids" by Dave Ramsey. It was really encouraging and motivating. When we were back at home, Papito started to explain that he would assign tasks for the kidDOS that will be paid. Papito also introduced the idea of dividing the income into savings, giving and spending allocations.

The savings the kidDOS accumulated in the year would be used for our summer vacation. Then, after nine months, the time to open their Piggy Banks arrived. The kidDOS were so excited to find out how much money they had saved.   :)

The plans for what they would use their money for soon started. Ice cream, toys, fishing, horse back ridding... and the list went on and on.

It is a joyous journey to equip  and train our little ones.
