One of the biggest challenges I had in my mind when starting to homeschool was to teach the kidDOS to read in a language that is not my native language and a language that I did not learn to read in.
Well, we have made it through... and they are reading. :) :) :)
The other day the kidDOS wanted to have some pudding. We got a pudding box out and they started reading the directions. It was just awesome!
This year we used SonLight reading curriculum. It was a great decision. The curriculum comes with 4 and 5 day options. We used the 4 day option, since we attended co-op once a week. The book selection kept the kidDOS engaged and the pace was adequate to practice and continue developing their skills.
Thank you Jesus for such an accomplishment.
