Traveling with Preschoolers

"Yeah!  We get to join Papito on his international work trip"...
Those were the first words, then reality sunk in. I had to pack, get the house ready and get us all ready to travel. Someone to mow the lawn, someone to check on the house, make sure we had everything needed for packing. Get the suitcases ready, make a list of important items we do not want to forget... and the list goes on and on.
For several weeks before leaving, we were very expectant about the trip. We read books about the country we were going to visit. We talked about important safety plans of action for the kids. And as the days approached, we got to our packing day. And we made it to the airport.
Here is a link to our packing list. We decided to travel with two big suitcases for all our clothes and personal items, one small suitcase for shoes, one computer travel case for Papito's work and another small carry on suitcase for airplane related items for us and the kids.

One great addition to our airport travel was to attach a strap to each of the two carry-ons for the kidDOS to hold on to. As we had to move among many people in big airports, these straps worked very well, keeping the kidDOS always safe and close to us.

I would love to hear about your tips for traveling with little ones.
Smiles,
