Fulbright Mid Year Seminar

Papito's Fulbright Seminar/Conference in Valencia was a delight.

As a family we attended the opening and closing ceremonies along with many other presentations. The Fulbright program to Spain brings every year about 200 awarded participants. Among them are recent bachelor graduates, young researchers and scholars. We spent 3 days together in the city of Valencia. The Seminar was held at Universidad de Valencia.
About 170 of the awardees this year are recent graduates, about 20 are young researchers and 8 of them scholars. The recent graduates are placed as teacher assistants in elementary schools throughout Spain. Young researchers continue their work with scientist in different universities and labs here in Spain. And scholars are placed in universities around Spain to share their knowledge and continue with their research in collaboration with scholars at the local universities.

Many of the participants got an opportunity to present about their experiences living here in Spain's, and their research. It was truly interesting to listen to their presentations. The topics were very diverse. One pleasant and interesting discovering was to know how much our kidDOS love to listen to the presentations. Princesa requested special permission to attend events that were not designed for family members, so she can listen to the presentations.
We enjoyed leisure time as well. We visited the Restaurant "Las Marcelinas" (founded 1888) to enjoy "Paella". We walked on the mediterranean sea beach. And visited the Albuferas.
We love the Fulbright program.
"Mas que una beca"
