Swimming Team

Swim Team First Experience 

Princesa enjoyed her swimming classes so much the past fall that she decided to try swim team this summer. She had a lot of fun. She made new friends. And she got to improve her speed.

For Papito and me, swim team was also a new experience. For the first meet we had to get up at 4:45 am to be able to make it by 5:45 am, Princesa's check in time. Then we waited until 7:20 am, when she did a warm up swimming. Then around 8:00 am she had her first swim heat for about 30 seconds. Her second swimming heat was about 45 minutes later, and it also lasted for only 30 seconds. We arrived back home so tired that we all took naps. We find the swim team culture puzzling, and determined.
