Summer time at Pine Cove

A vacation with a purpose for the entire family. Even when you have twin toddlers!

The search for vacation places since the kiddos arrived has been constant. It was hard to go almost anywhere when they were very little. Things are getting better, however, Papito and I still feel needy for so much help.  Pine Cove provided an opportunity for us all to enjoy some time together. Pine Cove is also a spiritual place in which we were able to be renewed and refreshed. We got a bigger better vision for our purpose in Christ as a family.

My favorite activity was the Picnic for the parents. The kiddos had dinner and play games at the Kids Cove while we had a grown-up evening. Papito and I were given a picnic basket overflowing with goodies, including a blanket to seat on and relax. The basket also had a paper with a series of questions to prompt conversation as a couple. It was absolutely romantic!  That day was so hot that we decided to make our picnic inside our air conditioned cabin...  kind of funny. We still had such a great time!

I think it was an impactful week for the children. It helped them develop in many new ways. We had many new experiences, like ride horses, ride boats, stay in a cabin, walk on the woods, make new friends, play new games, have dress-up nights, eat in big cafeterias with new families every meal, etc, etc, etc.
Several of the night are theme nights at Pine Cove. One the nights was "B" costome night. So we decided to be the "B"erry family. The kiddos helped create our very own costumes.  Here our fun experience.

What is your favorite family vacation?
