My House at Spanish Class - Mi Casa

We had a great time this week at our Spanish class. This week we learned about our house and the things that we have in it.

"HOLA AMIGOS" song is a fun way to learn everyone's name.
We always sing with handmade shakers filled with colored rice.
This week we made our very own house with all the words we are learning.
The story book we read during our lesson was "La Silla de Pedro" by Ezra Jack Keats. We had so much fun learning about Pedro's adventure as he shared his baby chair, bed and crib with his new sister Susie. The title in English is "Peter's Chair".
We also created a paper chair. This activity was decorated by the children, and the moms did the hard work of cutting along a simple rectangular piece of red card-stock. Thank you Mama!
This week's song talks about the times when we are in bed and we start dreaming. We dream of fun things, playing, singing and many beautiful places.
We sing and we laugh while we enjoy learning Spanish.
We love having our friends with us and learning new things. Thank you amigos for coming every week to sing and play together.
Sitting at our "sillas" and eating at our "mesa".

See you next week at Spanish class: "Espanol es para Todos"
