Well checks: D is for Doctor

Anyone had an stressful doctor visit? With 2 toddlers in the same visit and Papito not being able to come with us, it was challenging for me. After our last visit I decided to spend some time with the kidDOS learning about reason why we go to the doctor.
Here some ideas I have tried before our next Doctor's visit. We started by reading our now favorite book: TJBearytales: My visit to the Doctor. We have been reading the same book almost every day for a week. I am still amazaed how small children love to read the same book over and over. Now they can almost tell me the story by memory.  Fun, fun, fun.  :)

Fun with Airplanes:Aviones

Summer is such a fun time!!   New experiences are full of excitement and learning opportunities.
As we have been at the airport several times this past months we started to read and talk more about airplanes, "aviones" in Spanish. I decided to focus our readings and activities around this topic the week we went to pick up grandma from the airport. We spent time playing with toy airplanes, we mimicked being airplanes flying around the house. At the backyard we observed airplanes as they fly above in the sky. We talked about the different airplane-colors and we also counted how many airplanes we can see.

"CA" - Carros, Camiones, Camionetas

Carros: Cars
Camiones: Trucks
Camionetas: Pick-ups
Principe has figure out a short cut to a lot of his favorite words: "CA". All ways of transportation are a wonder for little boy. Riding them, lining them up, counting them, and carrying them all over we go are some of the most favorite activities.

Most Impactful Book in my Life

Have you ever thought about what book has done the most impact in your personal life?  Last Sunday we had a great message at church about the Bible.
It is incredible to think how much this book has shaped my life, my values and the decisions I make every day. I started to learn about the Bible when I was a little girl, as my family started to get acquainted with the book. So many stories come to my mind from time to time as I encounter different situations in life.

Now, as the twins are growing, I have started to repeat passages to them to memorize. We have been working on Psalm 23. We repeat it every night before bed, and now after a couple months, they almost know it all. However, some days I do not find time myself to go back and read it again. I know it is all about priorities. A challenge to myself it is to be more diligent in reading the Bible every day.
